Moto Rapido Ducati was formed in 2002 by two Ducati enthusiasts, then we were just a small independent shop servicing, selling, tuning and racing Ducati.
After several years as an independent specialist, we were noticed and recognised by Ducati UK and in 2005 we were appointed as a fully authorised Ducati dealer and Ducati Performance specialist (we've even won a few awards!) We are very proud of our specialist workshop background and not just a regular Ducati dealer, we support many UK racers, track riders, and all of the main owners clubs.
Whilst we have remained a small personally owned dealership, we now enjoy a close relationship with Ducati UK and the racing division of Ducati Italy, Ducati Corse.
Our race team has developed over the years from club level racing to British Superbike level. We are never going to be a huge main dealer, but we are proud to offer the best of both independent and enthusiastic specialists plus the backup of a fully authorised dealer. We only maintain, tune, race and sell Ducati motorcycles. If you do just one thing, as a true specialist, you can do it really well, so we don't get involved in other brands, you won’t find anything other than a Ducati in our workshop!
Managing Director
Wilf owns the business and runs shop and the race team. Wilf started and has grown the shop and is very proud of the team and is friends with many customers. When out of the office he is mainly found in the workshop, on the dyno with his head in a laptop.
Wilf's own bikes are a 900 Superlight, an original 916 and a 996R. Current road bike is our Scrambler Icon.
Sales
Andrew is our sales boss. he's the man in charge of getting you on a new or used Ducati.
If you keep Andrew talking for long enough he can tell you about every Ducati he's ever owned. A long and distingushed list that includes 900SS, 916, 996 SPS Foggy Rep, 996R, and a 749R. Today he owns a 996 Biposto so he can take his missus on the back!
Parts Manager
Craig has been at Moto Rapido for as long as we can remember after joining the team from another Ducati dealer. We think he's the best parts person in the country, and so do many of our customers!
Craig takes full advantage of our demo bikes rather than buying his own!
Parts Advisor
Luke has been at Moto Rapido for five years after joining from another motorcycle dealership.
Luke has just written off his last bike so watch this space!
Race team No1 mechanic and Engine Builder
What Paul doesn't know about Ducati engines isn't worth knowing! He knows how to shim, rumble, squish and flow and port your engine plus he also builds the engines for our BSB bike!
Worryingly Paul tends to prefer the smell of two stroke for some reason!
Senior Technician and Engine Builder
Ray has been a factory trained Ducati senior tech since the 888 Superbike and has completed every course with the factory since. A wealth of experience on the Ducati range, not much he hasn't seen.
Technician and Electronics
Joe has also carried out his full apprenticeship with Moto Rapido in 2012 and excelled finishing the course a year early and has been to the factory several times for factory training. He now focuses on the ever increasingly complicated electronics fitted to the new Ducati's.
Joe's just taken ownership of a 748 and is carrying out a full nut and bolt restore to the bike after taking it completely apart. His intention is to have it in better shape than when it left the factory!
